As a licensed psychologist, professor, wife, and mom of teens, my areas of expertise are fairly broad. I understand how complicated life is and how easy it can be to tip off balance, losing a sense of what brings satisfaction and meaning. I offer a range of services to help people face life with more confidence and joy through helping them understand the positive power of their anxiety, the potency of empathy and compassion to heal, and the foundational benefits of wellness.

Life is a powerful teacher, and what I have come to understand is that feelings stretched too thin can be painful, isolating, and confusing, leaving us hungry for the support of someone who understands. I consider it a privilege to help people face the curve-balls life throws, and be part of their decision to improve their lives. There is no greater fulfillment than sharing in the satisfaction and peace that emerges through the growth process.

How I can help

My approach is a holistic one that includes understanding how you think, feel, and live your life so to paint a more complete picture of where your true needs lie. Our work will include teaching you about current brain science that impacts how you cope with life’s challenges, a look at your past and how it impacts your present situation, as well as cognitive and behavioral strategies (CBT) to help you manage your life more effectively.

My Services

As a licensed clinical psychologist with more than 25 years of experience helping people cope with life more effectively, I am trained in evidence based treatment methods that work. My areas of expertise include individual and couples psychotherapy for adolescents and adults who are facing a variety of life challenges, as well as life coaching and workshops aimed at helping clients reach specific targeted goals.


Psychotherapy offers an in depth look at patterns that are holding you back while providing a supportive environment to learn and implement healthier coping strategies, and forge a path to happiness.


Coaching offers a collaborative environment where your goals, and your path to reaching them, is realized step by step.

Nuts and Bolts

Unless otherwise arranged for, therapy and coaching sessions meet weekly and are 50 minutes long. Within the first few sessions, a treatment focus is identified and agreed upon. This focus lays the foundation for our future sessions and acts as a benchmark against which progress is measured. Services always include defining existing strengths as well as uncovering opportunities for future growth and change.
