Communicating When We Have Opposite Opinions: Civil Discourse

Sometimes it isn’t easy to communicate when we agree, let alone when we don’t. Effectively communicating when we have opposite opinions is tough, and requires one key ingredient – listening. I was pleased to speak about using active listening as a tool towards conveying empathy, forging common ground, and achieving civil discourse even where there is disagreement. Common pitfalls of healthy communication were also addressed.
